Our Story
About The Foundation
We exist because Alani Jacob — and every child like him — deserves a world that was built with him in mind. Not adapted. Not accommodated. Built.
The Origin Story
The Alani Jacob Foundation was born from a mother’s refusal to accept a world that wasn’t designed for her son. When Salima Levy’s son Alani Jacob was diagnosed with autism, she discovered that the systems meant to protect and educate him — schools, shelters, workplaces — were fundamentally unprepared for neurodivergent individuals.
Rather than simply advocating for accommodations within broken systems, Salima set out to rebuild those systems from the ground up. Drawing on her M.B.A. and years of experience in enterprise technology, she created solutions that don’t just include neurodivergent individuals — they center them.
Today, the Alani Jacob Foundation operates as a DBA under Crystal Life Ministries, a 501(c)(3) certified organization, combining the rigor of enterprise software development with the heart of a mother’s advocacy.
Meet the Founder
Salima Levy, M.B.A.
#1 Black Autism Author in the U.S. | AI Educator for the Neurodiverse Home
Salima Levy is a best-selling author, enterprise technology strategist, and autism advocate. With an M.B.A. and over a decade of experience at the intersection of technology and disability services, she has become one of the most recognized voices in autism-inclusive design. Her work spans enterprise software (Safe Hub™), corporate training programs, and a library of best-selling books that have helped thousands of families navigate the special education system.
In 2025, Levy expanded her mission into AI education — pioneering programs that teach everyday families, particularly neurodiverse households, how to leverage artificial intelligence as a practical tool for daily living. Her approach treats AI not as abstract technology, but as an accessibility layer: reducing cognitive load, supporting executive function, and giving families agency over systems that were never designed with them in mind. She stands at the vanguard of a new discipline — one where AI fluency becomes a civil right, not a privilege.
